Ok, I just want a simple answer then it can get closed so it doesn't turn into people whining.
2 Quick questions,

1) How many character slots will purchasing a nightfall key give us?

1) 2, just like Factions

2) Yes, it is "on top of" the 2 you get with the game. Making 3.

Nightfall gives the standard 2 more slots if merged standalone is 4.

confirmed that the prerelease slot is a bonus extra slot adding 1 slot to the above totals

3 merged
5 unmerged

I added my pre-release key to my existing Gw account and didn't notice an extra slot? Will this be made available only after adding the final game key?

Yeah, it doesnt activate until you add a retail Nightfall key

Just because factions gives us 2 doesnt mean nightfall will give us 2.

Hmm thats odd, I figured that the extra slot would activate with the preview weekend from the pre release pack, that way we can make a new Nightfall character. Kinda sux because I dont have any free slots to try out a new character

Just because factions gives us 2 doesnt mean nightfall will give us 2.

Yeah its Official, I believe the 2 slots is the norm now to allow you to make 1 of each new proffesion.

Gaile or Alex said it somewhere and it was quoted... but I cant find it right now. But the wiki says the same thing and has a link to confirm it, a little ways down that page.

Kinda makes it very worthwhile to get Prerelease Bonus Pack for me then, just like Anet sales team planned

All that wiki confirms is that the pre-order bonus pack thing gives One additional slot

Theres no mention of how many slots merged or non-merged in any of those links on that wiki page.

Find me the Gaile or Alex quote.
